REBELS!

So to add to my page for once in a long time I am going to say how fun it is to go to a school that actually has a football team! Go Rebels! Last week was against Hawaii and we barely scraped by (yes we, like I'm part of the team). We had these hawaiians sitting by us who were an everso friendly semi-drunk group but they were hilarious and super friendly.

The whole time they were chearing Hawaii on and holding signs like this. They were even pretty positive when Hawaii was winning. At one point UNLV was ahead and then Hawaii scored putting them ontop. This one large Hawaiian man pointed at everyone around us saying "sad face" while pointing and laughing, which almost sounds rude but the way he said it and once he did it, the UNLV fans did it too whenever they came out ontop over Hawaii. Needless to say Clay and I will be going to many more because this stuff is fun! Go UNLV! It was said today by my coworker that UNLV is one of the best schools to root for because no one expects them to win, so when they do its a huge victory and when they lose its no big deal. But no need to worry, they wont be losing with Clay and I as fans :)

The Bug Bite

I was at Clay's parents house Sunday a few weeks ago and i look down on my leg to see this huge while spot. I figured it was a mosquito bite so I ignored it. Later it became red, the size of my palm and super raised, without my scratching it. Still no idea what it was. Next day it looked similar to the picture, but a bit more raised because I kept pressure on it and cold stuff. Benadryll didnt help, the medicine the doctor gave me did nothing, and it would not go down and it throbbed constantly! Little did I know that this mystery bug's bite would only go down with this Native American recipie for salve that my mother-in-laws mother makes. After two days it decreased it in size in half. Waited 3 days for it to go down by itsself, didnt happen. I put it on again and 4 days later it was gone. Strange but way cool.

2 weeks later, we're taking family pictures at the sand dunes, we get home, I see this huge red bump but now on my calf. Thank goodness for this salve.

The brown hair

So I've always wanted to dye my hair brown and one day I decided to be super tricky and do it right before a family reunion. And it was dark. Kristin did not like it. Many did but her lack of loving it still persisted. She would not wear it down because the dye looked weird and always looked not straight. It frustrated her. So next Wednesday in a pretty much hopeless attempt to make my hair look better I'm going to get highlights all over to try and "lighten" it because to turn it all back one color is A) really bad for your hair B) can make it fall out -says 4 hair places- and c) would be more money. SO goodluck to me for Wednesday, and the moral of the story is, when you get curious about hair colors, 1)make sure you get it done somewhere not with a box mix 2)be careful how light/dark you want to go 3) stop being curious and just dont do it. Its not work the pain of the new haircolor and the oney to fix it.

The Proposal

I have no idea how to do anything remotely fancy like my sister Camille with this blog but this movie The Proposal is such a funny movie! I was impressed with it and of course I loved the cheesy ending that was quite necessary. Luckily I was watching the movie at home and I could avoid Oscar from The Office http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/ giving Sandra Bullock her "special bridal shower" dance. But seriously, very cute movie, original (as far as a chick flick goes with the deportation thing) and as long as you have a fast forward button it rocks :)

Wind...

Today in Rexburg, it has been the most windy I have felt it in a long time- within the past week I felt like our roof was going to blow off of our house, or that it might tip Clay's bike over, or our house for that matter. All this is normal for Rexburg and I was going to let it go until today. Today I saw a girl literally tip over because of the wind. I was walking out of class when a huge gust came, it knocked me to the side along with about 20 other people that were in my view but I saw this poor girl in heels tip over... yes I was laughing in my head but it was a sad sight. I dont know if you can read this it says 44mph wind, but we all know that weather.com lies occasionally. I think its at 78mph and getting worse- okay maybe not that bad, but that poor girl... I just wish I had Camilles talent with bringing a camera everywhere or a cool phone so I could have photographed that incident.

COMPUTER!

So I am fortunate enough to have a husband who realizes when there is a need and we have been looking at computers the last few weeks with nothing serious in mind... But here it is! I'm on my brand new HP something and it is great!

That my cool story, that I have a rockin computer and an amazing husband! = )

Life

So here is the skinny on life- Clay and I spent the last 4 months down in Las Vegas for my internship. We got back to Rexburg last Saturday. We will be here till the end of July which is when I finally get my degree in Accounting. Then back down to Las Vegas where I start as an associate at PBTK http://www.pbtk.com And currently I am outside on wireless internet at my in-laws house chillin with my new little sister getting a tan at 62 degrees. Score for winter pretty much being over!

Lions and Tigers and Bears... well really only lions for now...

For those of you who have not had the amazing opportunity to go to the MGM Grand Casino and Hotel, this is what you're missing out on! A $9 million exhibit built for our enjoyment This is the girl lion on top of me, did you know lions have spots so they blend into the jungle?

So what these cool lion tamer people do is they have this huge ball of ground up horse (and for those of you saying thats gross, its not, it looks like hamburger) and they rip a chunk off and throw it on the window right infront of your face so you can see the lions up close. It is SO COOL!

So what is next on the Yardley journey you ask? We hear there are tigers, dolphins, and sharks! Score!

LV BABY!

Ha oh my heck so I am way behind in this blog thing and I appologise to the three people who read it. Clay and I are in Las Vegas now, and after week #1 of work, I totally think I could be an auditor! But I would need to understand the processes and terminology and well pretty much everything still to be successful. We have our new car and we love it! Got it yesterday = )

Like this one but pimper! go us. What else, there is no snow. It is beautiful here and we live in an area where at 9 at night Clay and I can go for walks and see no one else on the street! Score 1 point for us, 0 for muggings! Oh and we just got internet today so after making a "blog" for one of my classes I remembered this beautiful thing.

Oh one interesting point to touch on... when we moved into our apartment we had tons of these everywhere...

Gross I know. But thankgoodness for my mini dust buster they are all in cricket heaven now (half already were)

Oh but back to the job, its great I work with 10 other people in the room, I believe all of them have been working there for a year or less but they are fountains of knowledge! Can't wait to have that 1 year under my belt! Also they are mainly LDS which is way cool and I love the working environment. That is my story for now, after I take pictures of my perks and when I get new years pictures off the camera they will so end up here.

P.S. new years we spent on the strip, so not worth it. fyi. but the casinos were beautiful.
