I love SF

My amazing sister Camille, our super great photographer, my husband and I all took a trip to SF the day before the wedding. Cam did a great job of driving around taking rockin' pictures and being a great sister! Nate did a great job of picture taking. Clay and I did fantastically at smiling and kissing as much as they told us to. It was fun.

Who would have thought...

So for a bit of extra income I decided to clean apartments at the end of the semester for Nauvoo House (a college co-ed apt complex). Now for those of you who are not up to date with whats hot in Rexburg, Nauvoo is known by the less fortunate as a upper class place to live, by the higher class a decent place second to The Ridge. Pretty much what I am trying to get at is they leave there junk everywhere and fail to clean up their apartments like they were supposed to before leaving for break or perminately.

Example 1

Now this may look like a normal washcloth to you. But this picture does not do
it justice.... This is after 3 washes and its original color was white. Now it is a faded
bluewith dark stains from who knows what that I found and had to clean out of a fridge
for 45 min, no joke. It was gross.

Example 2

This is an example of a meaning only 1 kind of microwave I encountered. Sick is the word I use to describe it. For those of you thinking that its not that bad please keep in mind this is taken with a poor camera phone so the true level of discustingness is not there.

I know all of you feel for me right now so I would like to announce that after 4 days of torture I am done, 21 fridges and microwaves cleaned, 378 cupboards cleaned, 651 shelves, and 13 splits and cuts in my hand (due to extreme dryness from chemicals) later.

Thank goodness

A troublesome decision...

The first blog... its a big deal, and very stressful might I add! But here it is... it was a hard choice between two things... so I made up my mind and you get both you blog happy people you.

The muffins

I had this great desire to make muffins the other day and wanting to be all housewifey I decided to take a shot at it and make almond poppy seed muffins. Score right? But not when they looked like mine did... I had no cupcake tins and for those of you who do not know, you need a muffin pan, there is a point to it. So I used a 9x13 instead! Genius? Not really... my 12 muffins turned into a muffin brick on the top barely separated by the actual paper cups. not cool muffins, not cool.

The cats

You can see the small object darting out of the cage in front
of it... that's the cat
I really hope this does not soundunpleasant because its not that bad... we found out that we had cats living under our trailer and with the help of a cat trap our neighbor lent us we have been slowly taking care of them. Not in the killing way but in the relocation sense. As of yesterday we were at cat 7. There is still 1 at large... we'll get it soon. cant wait!
